I interviewed four people about writing and social networking, two female and two male students. I wasn’t surprised that two of them write on Twitter or on a blog regularly. But I was astonished that all of them didn’t know what “reflective writing” is. I don’t really expect that a student of applied science is certain how to deal with that question, but I would have expected it from a student whose subject of study is sociology.
One student, Cliff, was a very nice guy. He told me that he doesn’t want to post personal thoughts in order to share them with people he doesn’t personally know. I understand his point of view very well.
